About Lamalama
Short background on me and the biz lamalama

Let's Get Comfortable
Lamalama is a women-owned business. Here you can expect to find eco-friendly products and handmade products. Due to the pandemic, it has been difficult for local, small, and family-owned businesses to continue their employment. Hence, Lamalama uses mostly local, small or family-owned business resources for most of the products. One of my main goals through Lamalama is to provide sustainable options to people who may be looking for daily use items, decorations, collectibles, gifts, and so on.

More on my inspiration for Lamalama. I was a Science student for Neurology and Anthropology but my passion for art didn't allow me to continue solely in science. Finally, I choose to major that had both science and art integrated, Industrial Design. I also choose to minor in Art History and Studio Arts. Through all of these experiences, I was able to learn more about ceramics and plan to finish my studies.

Further on why ceramics are eco-friendly and a better choice. The main source of clay is soil which has minimal impact on our environment. A lump of raw clay goes a long way. It can be mended into any shape serving many purposes from plates and bowls to tiles and bathtubs. Even after being fired it is easily recyclable and can be made into other clay products. Although ceramics may seem fragile, they are strong and can withstand a tremendous amount of heat like baking dishes.

Lastly, Lamalama was to be launched in 2019 but due to the COVID pandemic and other financial constraints, it kept being pushed back. I am more than happy to say that Lamalama has launched officially.
